Avalanche is a British rock band based in Bristol, UK. The group formed in 2000, formerly under the name Pure, and is currently composed of Craig (vocals), Max (guitar), Dave (bass guitar) and Matt (drums). Avalanche is known for a professional live sound and creative interpretations of songs from artists the band proudly pays its respects to - Billy Idol, Kings of Leon, The Killers, Bon Jovi, Guns n' Roses and many more.

 

 

Formation to present

 

The band originally formed in 2000 when founding members Dave and Matt put together a sixth-form band, performing in large productions and self-promoted gigs to fellow students. The band hit its stride around 2006 with an impressive run of local gigs from Bridgend to Plymouth and everywhere in between.  Still performing cover material exclusively, Dave and Matt soon disbanded to focus on writing original music. Reuniting with frontman Sean and lead guitarist Shaun in 2013, elevated the band into a solid touring outfit and the name Avalanche was chosen to solidify the new formation.

 

The crowning achievement for Avalanche was attracting Max and Craig in 2016 - the current line-up. Talented in their own right, they each brought with them commitment, musicality and the right temperament within the four personalities. Craig is the consummate front person bringing a modern touch to Avalanche's repetoire, Max is a qualified sound engineer providing the on-stage mix for live events, Dave is the media genius documenting the band through video and online content and Matt is the trained negotiatior handling bookings and sourcing new opportunities. Avalanche continues to perform in pubs, clubs and private functions throughout the South West of England, UK.
